[post_content] => Helen and Andy Shuttleworth have lived in Fort Nottingham for 30 years. They settled on a hilltop surrounded by indigenous forests where, together with a new partner- their son Robert and his wife Julia- and a small team of skilled crafters, they can be found spinning, dyeing and weaving in a beautiful natural setting.

Over the years, the Shuttleworths have evolved their own original designs, weaves and techniques. They emphasize colour and texture in their work, which includes carpets, throws and shawls. Their weavings are sold nationally and exported to clients in New York and London.

We carry our stock at our showroom in the centre of Nottingham Road, please call ahead if oyu would like to arrange to meet us to discuss custom commisions

[post_content] => Michaelhouse, the Anglican Diocesan College of Natal, was founded in 1896 and is an internationally renowned boarding school for senior boys. Situated on a secure estate in the beautiful Midlands of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, the school has a fully residential staff which facilitates a high level of pastoral care and interaction with the pupils. The distinctive ivy clad architecture of inter-linked quadrangles inspires a sense of belonging amongst the 567 boys of international and regional origin.

Michaelhouse is a school of established heritage with an innate respect for the individual. It is this long held tradition that distinguishes Michaelhouse from other senior boys’ schools.

We believe that going to senior school is as much about finding one’s special niche in life, as having the freedom and encouragement to explore it, and to become the best one can be. We strive to allow the differentiated potential of each boy to emerge and to thrive.

It is this focus on the individual that stretches the concept of strength through diversity to the extreme. It is also this focus that informs our leadership and mentorship programmes.
At Michaelhouse boys thrive on opportunities to explore, to learn, to play, to challenge the mediocre and to lead as men.

Michaelhouse has an outstanding record of academic, cultural and sporting excellence, as well as community involvement supported by modern facilities and a fully resident team of innovative staff.

With an active base of over 5500 Alumni across five continents, Michaelhouse has produced in excess of 30 Rhodes Scholars, 10 Elsie Ballot Scholars and over 130 sportsmen who have played their game at international level.

Michaelhouse is a member if the Independent Schools Association of South Africa.

[post_content] => A truly family run business. Often Greek crazy but filled with fun!

Founded in 2012 the family since then has been passionately producing excellent cheeses and yoghurt. The Gourmet Greek yoghurt won a DSTV Eat Out Food Network Produce Award in 2013, in only its second year of production!

We continue to work hard to produce more outstanding products and great flavours. Hand crafted is not a word lightly used on our label, ask the family and you will see why.

The Blue Cow deli and coffee shop on site is where you can buy our freshly made products. From all our cheeses and yoghurt to Grans homemade pickles as well as an assortment of selected artisanal deli products.

For those of you in a rush, stock up on your Gourmet Greek products and have a great cup of coffee before heading on your way.

Otherwise do stop a while and enjoy some Charming Greek hospitality and light meal in a relaxing country setting.
We use the freshest ingredients and incorporate as many of our products in our Greek flavored menu.

Ultimately, we hope to share our passion for good food and see a greater enjoyment of artisan products through a better understanding of its taste, quality and production.

Just 3 km off the N3 take Exit 114 towards Lions River. It is so easy to find so do come visit!

Any other thoughts or questions do take a look at our website. We hope to see you soon.

[post_content] => In the heart of South Africa's champion racehorse stud, amid the sun-drenched valleys of Giant's Castle, lies Hartford House - in a world of heroic battles, picturesque mountain passes, arts and crafts and famous schools and colleges. One of the country's most beautiful properties, Hartford and its spectacular gardens were home to the last prime minister of the Colony of Natal.

Dine at the table of thoroughbred lore, recall the memories of royal visits and feast on the region's finest produce. Spring and summer are heralded by daffodils, flowering cherries and ancient roses , autumn and winter are celebrated in perfect days and with roaring log fires.

Wander through the 3 000-acre conservancy on foot or on horseback, cast a line in tranquil waters or relax to a treatment in our Wellness Centre.

Home to celebrated Chef Jackie Cameron, our restaurant was voted as "Eat Out" Top Five in SA.

Groups of 5 or more will need to be prescheduled so please contact marketing@tsonga.com if you would like to arrange a larger group.

You can find anything here, from unusual gifts to fine silver and stone jewellery - handicrafts sourced from many places. The clothing is full of the vibrant colours of silks and cotton, of designs not easily found elsewhere. Hats, bags, scarves and sarongs in abundance, wall hangings, bed sheets & table cloths too. Many esoteric items such as singing bowls & bells, alongside candle holders & incense etc. Definitely an experience not to be missed.
