[post_content] => The new Fordoun Farm Village is built with the purpose of tapping into the Agri Tourism, leisure and wedding market, and at the same time growing our conferencing market. With panoramic views of the Drakensberg Mountains, in a tranquil country setting, the feeling of relaxation and romance is almost tangible. 8 luxurious self-catering chalets provide ample accommodation for 32 guests. The new Multi-Functional Venue is a state of the art facility, combining a breathtaking wow effect while at the same time offering practicality and convenience to the guest.

Although the Farm Village is separate to the original Hotel, Restaurant and Spa, there is a lot of synergy between the two establishments. Adults staying at the Farm Village will have access to the facilities up at the Hotel and this will work both ways. The Farm Village will be family orientated with activities for children being a continuous focus for us!

[post_content] => The hutted camp offers accommodation in chalets for 120 visitors. The chalets are self- contained, vary in size, and offer accommodation for two to six people. All units are self-catering. The secluded Giant's Rock lodge offers mini conference facilities for up to 20 persons, and wedding venue for up to 50 people. There is a vulture hide which is open year round and it takes only six people. Advanced bookings are essential. We have trout fishing, which only allows fly fishing tackle. We have main caves which are one hour walk from the camp, a guide is in attendance and tours start on the hour from 09.00 to 15.00 from the main cave's gate. No more than 20 visitors will be allowed at a time in the caves and museum. A shady picnic site is situated close to Giant's hutted camp and offers all the usual amenities. There is a number of self-guided walks in the reserve.

[post_content] => The Lions River Trading post is in a beautiful tranquil setting on the banks of the Lions River.
It consists of a lovely antique and collectibles shop housed in the old water mill building as well as a small museum in an old milk shed from the railway yards. In another wooden building is a collection of antique and cottage furniture.

Within the main shop, there is a wide selection of antique furniture ranging from the Victorian era to cottage style. There is a wide variety of paintings, mirrors, clocks, light fittings, glassware, ceramics, porcelains, a large variety of silver and silver plate items, brass and copper pieces. Victorian fireplaces, Persian carpets, farm implements, carpenters and other tools and much much more. Walk into the past and leave with treasure for your home.

[post_content] => Kamberg Mountain Shadows sits in the Kamberg Valley along Highmoor road, bordering on the Little Mooi River, just a few kilometres short of the Highmoor Reserve. Previously known as Mountain Shadows, the property was purchased in early 2017 and the new owners decided it needed more than a splash of paint and tidy up. After nearly a year of new building works with additional accommodation and a new restaurant for our local customers (including those guests not wanting to prepare all their own meals).

The cottages all have fireplaces to keep you warm in the cool evenings and all are self-catering, fitted out with the necessary equipment to prepare and serve your own food. Beds and linen are all fresh and new which together with the redecoration have made these cottages quite special. Verandas are tastefully laid out with privacy and comfort in mind. A barbeque is provided for your use and wood or charcoal is available through reception.

Fat Harrys pub is adjacent the restaurant and has DSTV with sport, movie and music channels to pass the time away. Slip in for an afternoon of a cold beer and take in the ambience and stunning views of Cleopatra and Mount Lebanon.
