[post_content] => Situated in the Midlands of KwaZulu-Natal, Bosch Hoek Golf Club was first acquired by the legendary industrialist "Punch" Barlow.

The celebrated golf course architect Robert Grimsdell was commissioned to design and lay out Barlow's own nine-hole course on his farm in the Natal Midlands.

The first shot on Bosch Hoek was played in 1963, and thereafter for thirty years the club remained in the private domain of Barlow and his friends.

After Barlow died in 1979, his stepson Peter Gallo acquired the farm and continued to maintain the golf course as a private facility.

In 1990, Gallo formed the Bosch Hoek Golf Club and Country Estate and sometime later sold the development to the homeowners of the estate, who in turn sold the golf course to the current owner, South African entrepreneur, Ivan Clark.

The Bosch Hoek course has the advantage of being surrounded by glorious countryside, and the residential estate, wisely restricted to only 35 properties, is positioned well away from the playing areas. This is a beautiful country course with loads of charm, and the ideal place for a relaxing game of golf in peaceful surroundings.

During the months of March through May, Bosch Hoek, with its deciduous Oaks, Pin Oaks, Liquid Ambers and Plane Trees lining the fairways, transforms into a blaze of Autumn splendor.

The quaint clubhouse, tastefully decorated with a blend of modern and historic period pieces, is alluring during the Winter months, in front of the fireplace, many a good book and fine wine can be enjoyed in the company of its welcoming members.

The property also boasts a highly regarded equine hospital, offering state-of-the-art facilities.

Bosch Hoek is a hidden treasure, one of those enduring classics that has remained faithful to its original design, and hopefully will be preserved so for generations to come.

[post_content] => Manufacturers of Hammocks and swinging outdoor furniture. Customisable hammock designs and colours, with an African arts and crafts feel. Order online or contact us for a quote.

Unique to Heavenly Hammocks is our extensive range of crush dyed indoor and outdoor hanging furniture. Because we dye our fabrics by hand we can produce any shade you require to blend in with your own particular colour scheme at home. The crushdyed technique we use brings about a two tone or mottled finish to the canvas, which is what sets us apart from all other markers of hanging leisure furniture.

We take pride in the superb quality of our hammocks thereby ensuring that they will last you a very long time. The canvas we use is made from 100 percent pure cotton, making our hammocks extremely cool and comfortable to relax in. At the same time they are very durable because we only use a tightly woven, boxweave canvas so the fabric will never stretch or weaken. In addition we insert steel thimbles at each end of the hammock thereby preventing any loosening of the ropes which can so easily occur as a result of the constant friction caused by a rope or a carabine hook.

Our Promise
Our hammocks have the style, the strength as well as the comfort needed to guarantee you lifelong luxury. So treat yourself to a Heavenly Hammock and turn your leisure into heavenly pleasure!

[post_content] => There is something deeply special about indigenous forests. The lush luminosity of life played out in near-perpetual shade, the warm dank scent of sweaty growth and languorous decay. Everyday from 08h00 - 16h00 the second largest indigenous forest in South Africa situated at Karkloof 18 kms inland from Howick comes alive with people of all ages and sizes experiencing a true Tarzan and Jane Adventure, on slides of up to 200m long which take them amongst the birds, monkeys, trees and plants of this magnificent forest.

The system has been designed and constructed by a civil engineer.During the tour two or more trained guides ensure the safety of each group while describing interesting facts about the ecology and life in the forest.

The experience starts with a briefing session at the Karkloof Canopy Tour base camp. You will also be kitted out with your harness, safety helmet and sliding glove where opportunity would be given to ask your guides questions. Should you wish, the option to go tandem with one of your qualified guides is an option open to all, he then becomes your ABS brakes and all you do is enjoy the ride. After briefing you will be taken up the mountain in a 4x4 with a short 60m walk to the first platform.

Can I do this?
Of course the answer is a resounding YES! This is for everyone with a sense of adventure and a love of beauty should come and experience our Tarzan & Jane Adventure. Ideal for team building, childrens parties, anniversaries and wooing of friend and foe!

AGE GROUP: 5 - 85+years
