JoBerg2c is riding the off-roads less traveled and trails never traveled. It is racing, riding and touring across this magnificent country. It is sharing a passion for mountain biking with those who love riding. From the creators of South Africa’s two favorite mountain bike stage races, the Berg & Bush and Sani2c, comes a ride set to capture the imagination of passionate mountain bikers across the country, if not the world. Starting in the south of Johannesburg and finishing nine days later at Scottburgh on the KwaZulu-Natal coast. The part race part adventure, joBerg2c takes competitors through the country, from the heat and dust of the big city to the cool crisp air of the sea via spectacular mountainous passes. Using a community-driven formula along the way, the race will also uplift communities and give them a fool-proof way to raise money for their schools, churches and charities. Every organisation who works on joBerg2c will be paid. From road crossings to watering points, it is a way for these communities to raise money and work together for fun. TEAM ENTRY FEE – TEAMS OF 2 R15 530 per team. Your entry fee includes: 3 days of amazing trails though KZN. From the majestic mountains of Sani Pass, Southern Drakensberg to the lapping shores of the warm Indian Ocean at Scottburgh Beach, KZN, South Coast. 2 race villages with tented accommodation (a four-man tent to share with your partner). A comfy high density Vitafoam mattress. You will need to bring your sleeping bag and pillow. 3 meals a day plus a 24hour chill zone full of yummy goodies, enough to pile on all you have just worked off! Access to all the race facilities and improved permanent facilities i.e. hot showers, bike wash facility, rider chill zones with Clover Vanilla Milks etc. Professional medical support by Berg Medical is included however you will need travel insurance in case of hospitalisation.
