The Capture Site marks the beginning of Nelson Mandelas long walk to freedom as the site where Madiba was captured in 1962. A unique sculpture is set into the KZN Midlands landscape. Also onsite: coffee shop for breakfast and light lunches, gift shop with exclusive merchandise, book shop and exhibition.

Explores the founding of Mooi River, its history as a tented hospital during the Anglo-boer Wars, and its primary agricultural and sporting activities. Open Mon, Tues and Fri: 10am-12.30pm, Thurs: 2pm-4.30pm. Closed: Wed, weekends and public holidays

Looks at the history of this garrison settlement, established to protect settlers from Bushmen raiders. Open weekends and public holidays 10am – 4pm.
