Items organic woven products are found in KZN province. This talent has been handed down from generation to generation for hundreds of years. The art of weaving out of organic materials; however, is a dying art and less and less young people are taking up this form of artistry making this style of craft something that will be less available in years to come. The older women and men are the ones that are keeping the style alive.
The reed woven baskets are each handcrafted by individual disabled crafters who make each piece unique and one of a kind and therefore no two pieces are identical. Your reed woven baskets will look like the picture in size and look, with slight variances that is natural and unique to hand crafted items.
