Howick High School

Howick High School, founded in 1967, is a respected co-educational high school in the heart of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, offering a small weekly boarding facility to learners who live in the surrounding districts. Our beautiful school campus caters for all educational activities for our 540 learners, offering a range of high-quality facilities.

The community spirit and wholesome values that our school instils in its learners makes it a special place where boys and girls are educated and developed together into well-rounded and productive South African citizens.

Howick High School has always placed great importance on Academics. We offer classes from Grade 8 to Grade 12 and our Matric learners write the National Senior Certificate examinations. Our teaching staff include subject specialists who are professional in their approach to education, bringing out the best in each learner.

Our well planned and maintained sportsground enable learners at Howick High School to participate in 15 summer and winter sporting activities and, to cater for various interests and give our pupils the opportunity to grow and develop in different spheres, a wide variety of cultural and environmental activities are offered.

Our onsite coffee shop, The Rampant Lion, is open to the public from Monday to Thursday (6:45am–4:30pm), Friday (6:45am–3:30pm) and on Saturday (7:45am–3:30pm).
