Wild Hare Cottages

Equipped with comfortable cotton bedding, fireplaces and kitchen essentials, our four self-catering cottages are close to many attractions.

While all are similar in layout, one has stairs leading to a loft with two comfy ¾ beds and separate shower bathroom. The other three are ideally suited to couples.

Tucked away just off the Lions River / Curry’s post district road, our guests are surprised by the hidden spot not far off the N3 but so conveniently close to everything that the Meander offers.

At Wild Hare you can enjoy the privacy of your cottage, relax in a hammock with a book, light up the indoor wood firebox which warms up the whole cottage, enjoy a weber braai and visits by bushbuck and the occasional hare. The nights are dark and the sky is big with stars on a clear night. Wake up to the sun shining into your cottage and the sound of welcoming bird calls. Mountain bike trails are on our doorstep.

An ideal base for family visits in Howick, shopping at Piggly, getting a small group together and dining at Abingdon or Highgate, experiencing Midlands life.  Ideally situated for the Midmar Mile, Comrades, Mountain Biking and running events – all within a 5 to 25km area.
